Wisdom for Today

THE SOUND OF VICTORY IS UPON YOU

If you are a partner of our Ministry, I believe you received, read, and was encouraged through my recent partner newsletter containing the prophetic word the Lord gave us in our 21st May 2016 R.O.R.M.I. Southport Healing Glory Outpouring Rally. As I come to you now through this Healing School & Revival Manna, I boldly declare over you that God’s sound of victory is upon you. It does not matter what you are going through. As a child of God, He has already declared you victorious over all your adversaries and challenges: “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith … thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ … thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place” (1 John 5:4; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14).

Did you hear what you just read? Remember, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Hearing the word is critical to developing a winning faith. Once you hear and believe what you have read or heard, the next thing you do is to boldly speak it out of your mouth against all contradiction facing you. You stay in that faith lane for as long as it takes for your victory to manifest, assured that it will, because God backs up His word with supernatural power for breakthrough. To persevere until our victory manifests, we need to daily come to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace to help us in our times of need (Hebrews 4:16).

All through the Bible and in modern times, many people have faced very daunting and dismal circumstances that were only overturned through their faith in a living God. Let us consider a powerful Biblical example of supernatural victory received through the sound of Almighty God activated by faith. This had to do with King Asa of Judah. We read: “Then Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah. So Asa went out against him, and they set the troops in battle array in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, “LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” So the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were overthrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the LORD and His army. And they carried away very much spoil. Then they defeated all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the LORD came upon them; and they plundered all the cities, for there was exceedingly much spoil in them. They also attacked the livestock enclosures, and carried off sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem” (2 Chronicles 14:9-15).

Notice that King Asa and his people were attacked by an enemy king with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots. In the natural, Asa and his men were outnumbered. But Asa remembered that he had a covenant with God, and that God was His father. Undeterred, he saw victory in his spirit, and prayed by faith to his God, who he heard about, and also read of the mighty signs and wonders He did for his ancestors. So Asa cried out to God in prayer, saying, “LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” So the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled” (2 Chronicles 14:11-12).

I need to mention that Asa’s prayer was totally born out of faith in God. He had no doubt in his spirit whatsoever that God would come through for him. He trusted God whole-heartedly, and God fought for him and gave him victory over that great multitude that came against him and his nation. King Asa and his men subdued all the nations around them and also carried away so much spoil from their enemies because God fought for them. When we intentionally hand over our enemies and battles to God, He does a better job than we could ever do in dealing with our enemies. Let’s always keep in mind that the battle belongs to God, and that it is not by power nor by might that we can win but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6).

Today, regardless of the size, nature and duration of your enemy’s attack(s), know that God has destined victory for you. Hear with the ears of your spirit the victory sound that is coming upon you. See your victory come to you now in Jesus name. Step out in faith and cry out to God as Asa did, assured that God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Trust God for your victory and thank Him in advance for it. I prophesy victory over you right now regardless of what you are going through in Jesus name. Receive it and begin to rejoice in the Lord. I look forward to hearing your testimony soon.

Now, I want us to go further and consider another amazing Victory story that has to do with the prophet Elijah. This occurred when he encountered the false prophets of Baal in the Mount Carmel contest. Let me say that his victory came through his total reliance on the living God who hears and answers prayer. We read, “And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.” Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!” And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there” (1 Kings 18:36-40).

Notice that Elijah saw the victory in his spirit and called it out in his prayer to God before he experienced it. Through his prayer God did the seemingly impossible by natural standards—-the fire of God falling and consuming the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licking up the water that was in the trench (1 Kings 18:38). Also, Baal worship was destroyed and the true worship of God restored in the land again. In addition, the three and half year drought was ended in the land. Elijah heard the sound of victory concerning this and so declared it with his mouth regardless of the situation in the land.

Thus “ … Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’” Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel” (1 Kings 18:41-46).

Notice Elijah was all the time hearing what his servant could not hear. And what his servant heard and confessed did not make him to doubt or disbelieve his original conviction about the reality of what he saw in the spirit and heard with his spiritual ears too. Elijah prayed until he got the victory. Glory to God! For more insightful and powerful teaching on Encounters With the God of Elijah, I encourage you to get and read my book, 40 Days With The God Of Elijah—a book that is changing the lives of many in different parts of the world. Here are some testimonies: “I just wanted to let you know that your devotional, 40 Days With The God Of Elijah has been a blessing to me over these past weeks. Thank you for writing it and allowing our God to use you. May you be blessed with many other timely words from Him.”—S.P., Cheetham Hill, NTC, Manchester.

“This book, 40 Days With The God Of Elijah, is so anointed, written by sister Ifeoma, Apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ. She has such a gifting from our Lord, revealing the very heart of God. As she said:- “Take a leap of Faith, on this 40 day spiritual journey to acquire a greater depth of relationship with Father God, maximising your relationship with him. I loved every minute of reading this book. In fact, I am going to read it again! You can never have too much of the word, it’s our food. Without it, we would die spiritually. God richly bless you Sister Ifeoma, what an incredible journey”—P.T., Leicester.

“Dear Rev. Ifeoma, Your book, 40 Days with the God of Elijah, has a peculiar and interesting anointing on it, and each time I read it, something wonderful comes to pass. On the first day, I read Day 1—the God of Love, which was more than appropriate for the gift I had received. The whole book was a real blessing to me and had a refreshing quality which was so needed. It has been an inspiration and a reinforcement to my faith. On a lighter note, my daughter cooked me a meal and brought it to my house, which was a lovely and unexpected surprise—lo and behold, it was on Day 5—the God of Miracles. While reading Day 18—the God of Truth”, I confessed my rent arrears to a family member, and he paid it off for me. When I reached Day 25, I was really excited due to a testimony I had witnessed at the ELC Conference. And as I was reading—the God of Seasons, the Holy Spirit filled me with hope, peace, and a glorious inner joy, up until now. My son who has been in prison and troublesome over the past few years, and had not been in touch, finally contacted me on Day 31—the God of Victory!!! He has also been released from prison and I believe God will draw him back to Himself in Jesus name. There are many other strange and marvellous events which have taken place while digesting this book”—S.K., Stalybridge.

Presently, we are believing God for a building of our own out there. Yours In Christ’s Royal Service,

Apostle Ifeoma Fiiriter
